Add your website

Surfing Dog Search lists the businesses an AI assistant can already ask, book or buy from, each with its own doors. Listing is free, and nobody can pay for a place.

  1. Check it

We read your site the way a customer's assistant would, usually in seconds. When an assistant can ask, book or buy there, your business goes into the directory, with the source and date of every fact. A local business is listed once its site matches its entry on public maps or registers, or once you prove the site is yours.

Free, no sign-up. We obey robots.txt, and never fill in a form, log in, book or order. What a listing shows.

  2. Have your AI add it

Connect Surfing Dog Search to your assistant at https://surfingdog.ai/mcp, then say: “Put my business on Surfing Dog.” It calls register_business: it declares your doors and details, and proves the domain is yours with a file or a DNS record, a key, or a code sent to an address at your domain.

  3. No door yet? Get one

A site with only a phone number, an email address or a contact form isn't listed: an assistant can't do anything there yet. An agent inbox gives you a door at your own address, such as inbox.yourbusiness.com. Ours is open source: a hosted one, free, joins the directory the day it goes live; one you run yourself asks during setup.

Other doors count too: the checklist has them all.

Questions

Does it cost anything to be listed?

No. Listing is free, and nobody can pay for a place: the directory's order comes from published rules.

Why isn't my business listed?

The directory lists businesses an AI assistant can already ask, book or buy from, through a door their site leads to. A site with only a phone, an email or a contact form isn't listed. A local business also needs its site to match public maps or registers, or to be claimed.

Can I add a business that isn't mine?

You can check any website. A check reads it as our crawler would, so if an assistant can already ask, book or buy there, it is listed as found on its own site, under the same rules. A check is not a claim: only the business can register or correct its entry, by proving the domain is theirs.

Can I list my products too?

Yes, through an agent inbox of ours: it lists the products in its catalogue in Surfing Dog's product search unless you switch that off, while your business is in the directory.

How do I take my business out?

Opt out on our crawler's page: the crawl stops, everything found on your site is deleted, and an entry nobody claimed goes with it. An entry you claimed, you take out with its claim token or a proof as strong as your claim.
