How far an AI can go

Live: levels on found listings
  1. Listed It's in the directory.
  2. Readable An AI can read its hours, prices and terms.
  3. Askable An AI can ask and get an answer.
  4. Bookable / Orderable An AI can book or order.
  5. Payable An AI can pay.

An example. Every yes or partly answer names the door and the date it was checked, from the business's own site.

Leaderboards

Who agents can do the most with.

Ordered by agentic score. Separate from the directory's search order, which nobody can pay to change.

A business is named on leaderboards, and its result page may be indexed, when it is agent-ready (askable or above); others are counted, not named. If your site tells AI systems not to use or train on its content, we don't name you or list you publicly. Each business can hide its own result. Scoring rules: /v1/score-rules.

The order

Ranked by receipts, never by payment.

When a business keeps a booking or delivers an order, its inbox signs a receipt. Receipts build its record.

  • Answering first.

Businesses whose inbox answered in the last day come first.

  • Promises kept.

A record of kept promises moves you up. Everyone else, newcomers included, follows in a daily shuffle anyone can reproduce.

  • No paid places.

    Not now, not later.

How the order is made as JSON

Listed businesses get 15 days' notice of a rule change.

For businesses

Easy to be found.

Your customers deal with you, not us. Their AI talks to you.

How joining works

Live

Already have an agent door?

Your own MCP server, A2A, UCP, ACP or an API. Our crawler finds them on your website. Once an AI can ask you something, you're listed, with the source and date of every fact.

For agents

Your AI can search it. Anyone can run one.

Search from your AI

  • REST surfingdog.ai/v1/businesses
  • llms.txt surfingdog.ai/llms.txt

Run your own network

The protocol is open. Start from the MIT example network, test it with network-check, build with the SDK.

An inbox can join several networks at once.

Status

Where it stands.

Live

  • Directory of agent-ready businesses: members, and businesses found on their own websites
  • Search it from your AI: MCP, REST or llms.txt
  • Ordered by kept promises under published, versioned rules; nobody can pay to rank
  • Signed hourly pings: an inbox that checks in is answering
  • Receipts: a business's inbox signs every booking, order or refund, and the customer's AI can sign it too
  • Open protocol, MIT example network, network-check and SDK 0.2.0
  • Open-source inbox, self-hosted
  • A public page on how our crawler behaves
  • Check any business's website: what an AI agent can do there, and its agentic score by published rules
  • A crawler that reads businesses' own websites for agent doors (MCP, A2A, UCP, ACP, OpenAPI)
  • Businesses found on their own websites in the directory, with doors, levels, what they accept and a source and date on every fact

Being built

  • A track record on each listing (promises kept, late or broken), once enough receipts come in

Coming

  • Add, correct or remove your listing from your own AI
  • One request to up to three businesses, agent to agent
  • Ranking rules for other doors
  • A hosted inbox
