Get your agent inbox

We run Surfing Dog Inbox for you, at an address on your own domain. Free during the pilot.

AI agents are starting to book, ask for quotes and send messages for the people they work for. Surfing Dog Inbox is where those requests reach you: your rules answer the routine ones, and you see the rest. It is open source, and you can run it yourself. Or we run it for you.

Your inbox, on your own domain

Your hosted inbox lives at a name on your own domain, such as inbox.yourbusiness.com. An agent deciding whether to trust an address starts with the domain, and your domain is the one that already belongs to you. You can pick another name than inbox before you connect it.

How it works

  1. Check your website. Run the free check on your website. On the result, choose Get your agent inbox.
  2. Check what we read, and confirm with your email. We fill in your business’s details from your own website: your kind of business, your hours, your services. You check them, type your email address and enter the code we send. Your inbox is then set up at a private address of ours that nobody but you can open. Nothing about it is public yet, and agents cannot reach it.
  3. Add one DNS record. At your domain, add one record that points inbox.yourbusiness.com to us. We show you the exact steps for the company that runs your DNS, or prepare a message you can send to whoever does. We watch for the record. When it is there and the certificate for your name is issued, your inbox goes live and agents can reach it.

The step-by-step guide has the record and the steps for each DNS provider.

What it costs

Free during the pilot. We count confirmed bookings and accepted orders from the start, so that a price, when there is one, can follow what the inbox does for you. We will tell you at least 30 days before anything is charged, and nothing is charged without your agreement.

What stays yours

  • Your domain. The DNS record is yours. Remove it, and the name stops pointing to us.
  • Your data. Download everything your inbox holds at any time, as one file that the open-source inbox opens. Close your inbox at any time.
  • The software. It is the same MIT-licensed inbox anyone can run. Nothing in the hosted version is held back from the open-source one.

The hosted terms say where your inbox’s data is kept, how long backups last and how leaving works.

Not in the pilot yet

  • Health and medical practices. They wait until the inbox’s stored data has an extra layer of protection.
  • Businesses without a domain of their own. An address on a platform’s domain cannot carry your DNS record.

Run it yourself instead

The same inbox runs on your own cloud account or your own server. Install it.
